This job exists to ensure NMB Properties comply with accounting regulations and the Finance department provides information that support sound financial decisions made by the company. The incumbent will also support other Finance Functions within the NMBZ Group as and when required. Main duties include;
- Collaborates and engages with various business units in the Group to enhance the Group’s net worth.
- Reviews the trial balance regularly and ensures that all accounts are scrutinized to guarantee accuracy, integrity and completeness of financial data.
- Produces flash accounts, which show the performance of the Company against budget, mainly focusing on operating expenses.
- Produces weekly operating income and expenses report for business development meetings.
- Produces an accurate listing of all Company properties and correctly account for new development costs. The Accountant should maintain an accurate Asset Register.
- Ensures the Company complies with new tax laws to ensure collection and remittance to the Tax Authority.
- Prepares all other Tax Returns for the company ensuring remittance to ZIMRA on time, namely QPDs, ITF12C and any other required tax returns.
- Ensure billing and invoicing accuracy
- Analyse and provide feedback on project resource utilization, budget variances and profitability
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Business related field
