Qualifications and Experience
⦁ Diploma in Accounting/ Finance/ Business Management
⦁ 5 ‘O’ level (including Mathematics and English)
⦁ At least 2 years’ experience in FMCG industry
⦁ Experience in working with preparation of financial records is a must.
⦁ Must be conversant with Dynamics 365 system.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
⦁ The position administrative clerical support to the Shop Accountant through verifying cash transactions on a daily basis, prepare bank statements and relevant financial records.
⦁ The Cashier shall ensure the integrity of the company’s data by processing valid, authentic and authorized input documentation into the accounting system accurately and timeously in full compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
⦁ The incumbent is jointly accountable with the Store Accountant in overseeing financial management and reporting business performance of the store.
⦁ Conducts daily cash counts with all Till Operators, and capture the Till Operator summary schedule. Counts and reviews the cash surrendered by the Till Operator, and ensures that the expected amount as presented on the X-read report aligns with the cash declared by the Till Operator.
⦁ Processing banking of all bankable tenders, conducting cash pick-ups, ensuring cash office security procedures are followed, daily compiling of control books and month end returns, ordering, issuing and controlling office stationery, handling of all float money and filing and posting of all records.
⦁ Initiates and investigates any variances noted to establish the causes.
⦁ Notifies the Store Accountant for further investigations where the variances are outside the defined thresholds.
⦁ Ensures that such variance anomalies are duly documented and signed for.
⦁ Facilitates payments required for the Store in liaison with the store Accountant, adhering to set Standard.
⦁ Safeguards company’s resources by ensuring compliance with accounting and internal controls as laid down by the company.
⦁ Effectively display time management, initiative, teamwork and communication skills, adhering to laid down procedures.
⦁ Carrying out any other relevant functions as assigned.
