Duties And Responsibilities

  • Collection, analysis and presentation of information for support to programme implementation.
  • Supports communication and collaboration between the Programme Specialist-#WBA and Implementing Partners and stakeholders.
  • Prepares correspondence, reports, presentations and other written materials from oral instructions and written communication.
  • Support preparation of information for annual audit of the projects.
  • Operational support to trainings, activities and interventions for the #WBA project
  • Compiles, analyses, summarises data pertaining to the project, maintains records, documents and work plans for the monitoring of project implementation.
  • Provides administrative support to the WBA Project.
  • Provides logistical support for all #WBA activities including managing procurement and financial transactions in Quantum.

Creative facilitation: Ability to swiftly build rapport with participants and create a safe space where they feel comfortable to share their views, concerns, experiences and reflections, supporting this with a range of tools to

stimulate active participation.

Communication: Ability to represent and promote the UNDP brand in virtual communities and networks.

Relationship Management: Ability to engage with a wide range of public and private partners, build, sustain and/or strengthen working relationships, trust and mutual understanding.

Education

Required Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma with 5 years of experience or;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Economics, Political or Social Sciences with 2 years’ work experience.

Experience

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in Human rights, Key Populations or Health- related projects is a requirement.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including LGBTI, and authorities at different levels.
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and available for long working hours during times of peak work.
  • Ability to accommodate and adapt to changing working environment.
  • Strong writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; culturally and socially sensitive;
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel
  • Previous UNDP/LPP experience would be an added advantage
  • Experience in handling of web-based management systems
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and advance knowledge of spreadsheet and database Packages

Language:

  • Fluency in English with good verbal and written skills.
  • Knowledge of the national languages such as Ndebele or Shona would be an asset.
