Operations Manager

Our Partner an Engineering company is seeking to hire an operations manager to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate should have previous knowledge and supervisory experience of managing teams in the sector(s) engineering, manufacturing ,plant and machinery.

You will be in charge of providing inspired leadership for the operation of one of the organization’s critical line of business and involves making important policy and strategic decisions, maintaining a strong reporting culture, implementing a “zero errors policy “as well as the revision and implementation of operational policies and procedures. In this role autonomy is critical as well as the ability to show authority and enforce decisions effectively and efficiently. This quality is a key determinant.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspired leadership for the organization.
• Make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions.
• Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures.
• Work closely with the HR, Finance and the Business Development Manager
• Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
• Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
• Work with senior stakeholders.
• Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
• Work with the board of directors to determine values and mission, and plan for short and long-term goals.
• Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
• Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations.
• Support worker communication with the management team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualifications
• 3- 6 years’ prior industry related business development experience (Engineering, manufacturing, machinery, plant and equipment)
• Strong leadership , communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
• Focused and goal-oriented
