The Operations Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the head of Operations and the Operations team.
Responsibilities
– Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and profitability of the business unit.
-International, regional, and local inventory procurement, ensuring that there are no stockouts.
– Manage the warehouse and inventory, ensuring that products are stored and shipped efficiently.
– Work to ensure that the company’s supply chain is running smoothly and able to meet all customer demands.
– Maintain inventory records and schedules, ensuring that all inventory is accounted for and that orders are processed in a timely manner.
– Ensure that orders, invoices, GRVs, and all operational paperwork is accurate and up-to-date.
– Track shipments and deliveries, ensuring that all shipments arrive on time and in good condition, without attracting any extra charges or penalties.
– Manage customer feedback, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
– Offer post-sales support and engage clients for innovation and new product development.
Qualifications
– Business-related degree with a 2.1 or better.
– Postgraduate Supply chain qualification is an added advantage.
– Clean class 2 Drivers’ Licence
– At least 3 years experience in a similar role
– Excellent organizational and time management skills
– Strong attention to detail
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Excellent customer service skills
– Good presentation is a must.
– Good internal and external communication
