The Financial Clerk is responsible for performing financial and administrative tasks to support the financial operations of the company. The primary duties include maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. The Financial Clerk will work closely with the accounting and finance team to ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
Responsibilities
– Record financial transactions in accounting software and maintain accurate financial records
– Process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner
– Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy
– Prepare financial reports and statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
– Assist with budget preparation and monitoring
– Respond to financial inquiries from clients, vendors, and other stakeholders
– Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets
– Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
Qualifications
– National Diploma or equivalent required or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
– 1-2 years of experience in a similar role preferred
– Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
– Proficiency in relevant software applications.
– Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
– Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
– Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
– Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
