Role Overview
Contribute to the formulation, implementation and review of policies, strategies and frameworks for governance, heritage and social services in line with the Ministry’s mandate, strategic plan and national imperatives; Provide oversight on governance, heritage, social services matters and institutional reforms in the Immigration Control Department, Zimbabwe Republic Police, Civil Registry and State Lotteries to enhance efficiency, transparency and accountability; Collaborate with National Archives of Zimbabwe and National Museums and Monuments of Zimbabwe in heritage and cultural preservations activities; superintend over the development of budgets and funding strategies for governance, heritage and social service programmes
Requirements & Qualifications
A Bachelor’ Degree in Peace Studies, Governance, Public Administration, Sociology or related field
A Master’s Degree is an added advantage
At least eight years experience, of which two years must be at Deputy Director level or equivalent
Ability to set vison and drive institutional reforms
Knowledge of governance systems, cultural heritage preservation and social service regulation
Expertise in drafting and implementing governance and heritage policies
