Job Summary
The Sales Assistant provides critical support to our sales team by assisting with a variety of tasks to facilitate the sales process and enhance the customer experience. Responsibilities include order processing, inventory management, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently, including order entry, preparation of invoices, and coordination with the warehouse.
- Managing inventory levels and communicating with the production team to align supply with demand.
- Handling customer inquiries and complaints by providing excellent services to maintain positive relationships.
- Assisting sales representatives with preparing presentations, generating sales quotes, and tracking leads.
- Coordinating with the shipping and logistics teams to schedule and monitor product deliveries.
- Maintaining detailed records and reports on sales data, inventory, and customer interactions.
- Collaborating with the marketing team to support promotional campaigns and events.
- Attending sales meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on product knowledge and industry trends.
- Providing backup support to the sales team as needed, such as attending customer site visits.
- Performing other administrative and clerical duties as assigned by the Sales Manager
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Administration
- 1-2 years of experience in a sales support, customer service, or administrative role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic understanding of inventory management and order fulfillment processes
- Knowledge of the beds and furniture industry is a plus
