Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate must be able to:
Improve customer experience at each opportune encounter/interaction
Accurately make billings and receive payments due from customers for the food beverages and related services provided to them.
Increase revenue generation through suggestive and upselling techniques
Process payments using various forms of payments (cash, credit/debit cards, Mobile Money transfers etc)
Verify the accuracy and acceptability of the payments received and keeping the till/cash drawer in balance.
Ensure daily reconciliation and cashing of the day’s trading/sales at the end of each shift
Account for food, beverages stocks and all monetary and related resources and transactions during your shift or under your custody.
Conduct periodic stock takes as prescribed in the standard operations procedures
Prepared to work during weekends and public holidays.
Qualifications and Experience
A Certificate/Diploma or degree in Accounting, Sales & Marketing or Tourism & Hospitality Operations qualification will be an added advantage.
A minimum of 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English Language and Maths.
At least 1 year experience as a Cashier or till operator at a reputable establishment
in the Hospitality Industry, retail operations or FMCG industry.
Use of Catering POS systems is an added advantage.
