The Chartered Accountants Academy wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified & experienced individuals to fill the Accountant role that has arisen in our organisation.
Location: Harare
The Role:
• Train and lead the finance team.
• Administration of the accounting system i.e., Sage and its sub-modules.
• Review all work posted in the accounting system for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure proper filing of all accounting records.
• Ensure compliance with tax and other statutory requirements.
• Provide support and guidance on technical and key accounting issues.
• Prepare management accounts and reports.
• Monitor and control budgets.
• Review and approve payments based on the approval matrix.
• Assist with audit planning and coordination.
• Establish and maintain effective financial reporting systems and processes for different strategic business units (SBUs).
• Help with product pricing and costing.
The Person:
• Degree in Accounting.
• ACCA completed.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage, Pastel, or SAP.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office packages.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent decision-making skills.
