QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES
⦁ Diploma in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management/ Marketing/ Finance/ Accounting
⦁ 5 ‘O’ levels (including Mathematics and English).
⦁ At least 2 years’ experience FMCG industry
⦁ An understanding of Human resource management concepts.
⦁ An understanding of various statutes governing the operations of a retail supermarket

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

⦁ To effectively and efficiently implementation of operational activities in the Receiving & Warehousing department aimed at attaining the highest level of customer service and effective people management to enhance productivity.
⦁ To development and implementation of Receiving & Warehouse plans aimed at enhancing service efficiency and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of all stock items received from suppliers, ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so that stock is located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
⦁ Monitors the unloading of all stock into the receiving department.
⦁ Ensures stock is thoroughly checked counted and inspected.
⦁ Ensures stock is received as per order.
⦁ Ensure cold chain principles are adhered to at all times on receiving and merchandising of perishables stock.
⦁ Monitor the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry.
⦁ Liaise with the floor and receiving teams and ensure that expiries and breakages are within the targeted budget and that the stock rotation policy is being adhered to at all times.
⦁ Ensure that all soon to expire stock must be recorded in the expiries book and information passed to the Buyer to deal with accordingly.
⦁ Ensure that all breakages are recorded in the breakages book. All breakages held at the receiving department must be transferred to a service department if product integrity is still good enough.
⦁ Participate in scheduled stock takes, and assist Loss Control team with product location during stock counts and ensure stock integrity is maintained throughout the warehouse.
⦁ Checking the movement of material from receiving to the warehouse in an efficient, effective and safe manner.
⦁ Controls and liaises with external merchandisers and ensuring that they comply with warehousing set standards.
⦁ All stocks received should be promptly dated to ensure ease of collection of stock by merchandisers.
⦁ Monitor the safety standards at the department, managing cases of workplace hazards such as fire safety or any possible injury at work. All injury incidents should be promptly reported to the immediate Supervisor and Manager on Duty.
⦁ Carrying out any other relevant functions as assigned
