About the job
Responsible for all sales, inclusive of internal sales outlets, agents and distributors. Working closely with the Sales Manager to develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
Developing existing markets, understand customer needs and service delivery.
Promoting the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
Provide constructive feedback via sales reports.
Monitor after-sales support:
· This is to include close liaison with head of spares department in ensuring full spare parts back up and stock levels are kept consistent and within parameters.
· Also to include close monitoring of the service department to ensure customers receive a quality service.
Sales staff training – all staff, including any service centre staff, interfacing with customers are to be trained in customer courtesy and needs. Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople.
Tenders and tender submissions – Government, NGO’s, private. Tender packs are professional, correctly completed and submitted on time.
Emphasis on developing the company’s brand. Handling all aspects of the company’s advertising and marketing platforms, social media platforms, website.
