Our client, a market leader in the transport and logistics industry is looking for an individual with numerical aptitude and who has high integrity to fill the role of Credit Controller.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicates with customers to collect outstanding debts and resolve customer queries.
- Prepare account reconciliations ensuring allocation of payments to correct accounts and provides weekly statements.
- Ensures customer accounts are managed within the terms and conditions of the company policy.
- Ensure that all new credit customers go through the credit vetting process.
- Maintains and ensures customer invoicing is in line with set credit limits.
- Ensuring that interest is charged on overdue accounts as per company approved policies.
- Maintaining of accounts receivable files.
- Ensures customers are billed at the correct charge out rates.
- Ensures account balances are maintained within set parameters as approved by the credit committee.
Qualifications:
- Accounting / Finance Degree or Professional Course such as CIS/ACCA.
- A minimum of 2 years working as a Credit Controller.
Skills & Attributes:
- Good knowledge of Pastel Evolution.
- Advanced MS Excel and computer skills.
- Excellent mathematical skills.
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
- Ability to remain focused for extended time periods.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written communication skills and attention to detail.
