Job Purpose

To support business strategy by gaining customer feedback and relevant intelligence on markets served; extracting insights and disseminating to various levels within the organisation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Marketing Plan including the Client Value Proposition (CVP) by aligning activities within the business.
  • Co-ordinate and measure Marketing Campaigns/activities and brand perception and undertake competitor analysis/market scanning.
  • Writing and verbal communication of briefs that provide insight and direction to guide solutions to the specific marketing and communications objectives by applying the Nedbank Marketing Way and application of branding principles including positioning; brand essence; distinctiveness and differentiation.
  • Co-ordination of merchandise procurement processes & departmental payments
  • Event Co-ordination for key stakeholder groups ie. Staff, clients, Community (CSI & Sponsorship), Shareholders & Board.
  • Participate and support corporate social responsibility initiatives for the achievement of key business strategies.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes; systems and policies and support implementation of new processes; policies and systems.
  • Keep abreast of legislation and other industry changes that impacts on role by reading the relevant newsletters; websites and attending sessions.
  • Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and demonstrate the values through interaction with team and stakeholders.
  • Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managersEnsure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities by ensuring all learning activities are completed; experience practiced, and certifications obtained and/or maintained within specified time frames.
  • Ensure information is provided correctly to stakeholders by maintaining knowledge sharing knowledge with team.
  • Provide input on activities for relevant marketing reports by collecting information on status and results.
  • Co-ordinate tasks: resources and internal and external stakeholders to support the implementation of activities.
  • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g., staff surveys etc.).
  • Meet financial objectives by coordinating activities in line with budget requirements.
  • Identify and engage with all stakeholders to ensure implementation of marketing activities.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders to deliver on marketing objectives.

Preferred Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing / Business Studies.

Preferred Certifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in Marketing
  • Digital Marketing qualification is essential

Minimum Experience Level

2 – 3 years in service management in a banking environment and/or market research
