Job Description
Reporting to the Assistant Credit Manager, the incumbent will execute collection and recovery activities to optimize Overall credit portfolio performance through internal processes and outsourced agencies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Liaises with outstanding debtors and their guarantors for account regularization Initiates demand and reminder letters to be handed over to customers in arrears.
- Monitors branch loan status to ensure timeous handover of overdue loan files.
- Negotiates repayment plans and monitors payment patterns.
- Recommends loan recovery strategies and provides debt counselling.
- Recommends irrecoverable accounts for write-off.
- Prepares loan reconciliation schedules for legal and debt collection fees.
- Monitors Recovery Agents on progress and efficient management of cases.
Qualifications and Experience
- 2 years’ experience in debt recovery/lending.
- Business degree or equivalent.
- Credit Management or microfinance qualification will be an added advantage.
