Local Construction Company
As the Business Developer you will be responsible for the growth and expansion of the construction company. You shall be working to identify new business opportunities, build relationships with potential clients, and secure construction contracts. In order to be successful, you must have a deep understanding of the construction industry and the ability to effectively market their company’s services.
Responsibilities
- Identifying potential customers and generating leads through various channels such as networking, cold-calling, social media e.t.c.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with existing and potential customers, partners, and suppliers to grow the business.
- Developing proposals and pitches that showcase the company’s capabilities and value proposition to potential customers.
- Negotiating contracts with customers, reviewing contract terms and conditions, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Developing marketing strategies, campaigns, and promotional materials to increase brand awareness and attract new customers.
- Identifying potential tender opportunities that align with the company’s capabilities and strategic goals.
- Preparing and submitting high-quality tender proposals that meet customer requirements and demonstrate the company’s value proposition.
- Managing the bid process, including coordinating with internal teams (e.g., engineering, procurement, and estimating) to develop a compliant and competitive tender proposal.
- Tracking and analyzing tender results to identify strengths and weaknesses in the company’s tendering process and to develop strategies for improvement.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with existing and potential customers, partners, and suppliers to grow the business and increase opportunities for tendering.
- Tracking tendering data and generating reports to analyze performance, identify trends, and make informed business decisions.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in a Business, Marketing, Economics, or other related discipline is required.
- Must have at least 3yrs experience.
- The Construction Company has a need for a subject matter expert.
- As a coach and mentor, you must be able to lead a diverse staff.
- As business needs change, it is essential for you to be adaptable.
- An MBA, extensive contacts, and significant management experience is an added advantage.
