Job Description

  • Assesses credit risk (based on sources of legal or informal information), proposes level of acceptable risk on account, assesses request for DMA / MCL maximum credit limit raised by Sales representative, may modify it and if necessary, request additional guarantees .
  • Controls all blocked order waivers via authority delegated to her/him in SAP and report commitment status to management on a bi-monthly basis .
  • Ensures that the Customer Terms Form (CTF) and payment methods are properly completed and validated at the appropriate internal delegation level with respect to the business terms granted to a customer (price, payment terms, credit terms, …)
  • Maintains and manages customers credit ceiling in TOMCARD
  • Performs CP4 credit ceiling comparison between TOMCARD and SAP
    Controls and reporting
  • Manages, controls & ensures timely & accurate price insertion for all Network & GT customers
  • Facilitates all weekly or monthly credit control meetings, preparing division and customer by customer analysis, monitoring and documenting past and future action plans
  • Monitors and reports financial bank guarantees status to credit committee
  • Is the key contact person for Finance Department Team on all customer-related issues within the affiliate
  • Assesses, proposes, and prepares internal & HQ reports for all company Bad Debt provisions
  • Prepares and reports accurate monthly accounts receivable analysis by customer and division to management
  • Records and tracks of customer due diligences monthly
  • Generates quarterly KPIs.
  • Performs other tasks as instructed by Finance Manager or Managing Director

Team Management

Following up on the section`s staff to ensure KPIs are met quarterly.
Opening and amendment of vendor accounts in SAP.

The scarcity of hard currency is strongly affecting industry and the overall energy market and will remain a challenge for some years. Ensuring prompt processing of customer payments and following up on collections from customers, is paramount to the business. Consistent update of customer terms to reduce company exposure.

Candidate profile

  • Bachelor of Accounting /Business Degree.
  • Professional Qualification (e.g. CIS, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Minimum 4 years in a credit control-related, accounting or auditing function.
  • Skills required: Analytical, ease with numerical and operations data,
  • Ability to work with strict deadlines that are at times unanticipated,
  • Ability to interact efficiently and cooperatively with other departments including upper management, Solid knowledge of SAP and Excel

  • Direct subordinates: 3 x Account receivables Analyst + 1 Cashier):
  • Indirect subordinates: NIL
  • Credit management of all customers in the affiliate .
  • Monitor and analyze Trade Accounts receivables for +/- 600 active customers, database has +/-5490 debtors .
