Title: Finance and Admin Officer
Location: Harare, Zimbabwe
Reports to: Products Manager

Overview

A fast-growing Social impact and Agri-FinTech company is seeking to hire a Finance and Admin Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth financial and administrative functioning of the office. S/he will manage financial records, provide accurate financial reports and analyses, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial records and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

• Process and monitor payments, invoices, and receipts.

• Reconcile bank statements and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analysis.

• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and organizational financial policies.

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure that all supporting documentation is maintained.

• Support office administration, including managing office supplies and maintaining office equipment.

• Filing and archiving electronic and hard copy documents, minutes, photos, stakeholder database

• Assist with the preparation and coordination of meetings and events.

• Provide general administrative support to the Country office as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management and administration.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decisions.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Knowledge of local tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.

• Experience working with an NGO or international organization is a plus.

• Fluent in English.

Duration of Assignment: The assignment will be for a maximum of 12 months (May 2023-April 2024), on part-time, flexi-time assignment basis for 2 days (14 hours) per week to deliver on IDS activities. Availability for this assignment is essential
