We are looking for an efficient Accounts Payable Specialist to be a part of our accounting department. You will be primarily responsible for handling the entire accounts payable process along with the Accounts Payable Manager and Accounts Payable Clerk

You will be responsible for managing vendor payments in a timely manner. Besides, you should be able to verify vendor invoices and seek approvals from the internal departments. Also, you should own excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve any vendor queries.

In addition to this, you should be able to schedule payments and refunds as and when required. You should be able to monitor company expenses and suggest ways to improve the same. Moreover, you will be required to prepare financial reports and assist the senior management during audits.

Responsibilities

  • Explaining and assisting vendors and stakeholders with the accounts payable process
  • Verifying invoices, bank statements, tax documents, and general ledger entries
  • Processing invoice payments to vendors on a timely basis
  • Researching and rectifying unpaid invoices and receipts
  • Maintaining accurate financial records of processed payments
  • Monitor and track company expenses
  • Creating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Assisting the Accounts Payable Manager in gathering and interpreting financial data
  • Analyzing vendor accounts and any discrepancies in payment processes
  • Processing advance payments
  • Generating and approving vendor invoices
  • Scheduling vendor payments and disbursements
  • Resolving any vendor payment queries
  • Preparing payment record documents for audits

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience as an Accounting Assistant, Accounts Payable Clerk, or a similar job role.
  • Complete knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and laws governing the accounting field
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Zoho Books, Wave, and Pabbly
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Detail-oriented individual
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • A team player and having the ability to work independently
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Good time management and organizational skills
