7. DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR ACTIVITIES

List the main tasks that make up the job as derived from the major tasks in section 7 above and
commence each task with an action verb in the present tense.
1. To assist review of supporting documentation for partner reports before posting in the system
2. To assist in drafting monthly financial performance letters based on the liquidation review comments.

3. To work closely with Grants and Compliance Officers to reconcile partner advances and disbursements.
4. To compile weekly financial updates for partners for submission to Finance department The Grants & Compliance Graduate Intern will assist the Grants and Compliance Officer to ensure partner finances comply with established accounting standards and donor rules and regulations. He/she
will ensure that control policies and procedures are in place and operational for partners to address risks affecting attainment of project objectives by conducting regular internal control reviews. He/ She will
support the design and facilitation of institutional capacity strengthening plans for partners. He/ She will support timely response to partner requests related to sub-award agreements, budgets, and spending.

5. To prepare VAT invoices on a quarterly basis for VAT reporting.
6. To print and file and grants and compliance documentation.
7. To facilitate signing of all the financial documentation for the grants and compliance department.
8. To assist in properly filing and archiving all partner financial documents for future referencing
and evidence support.
9. To assist in reviewing FACT files for compliance and accuracy.
10. To assist Grants and Compliance officers for timely submission of reports.
11. Any other related duties as assigned by the Grants and Compliance Officers.

Peaks during audits; Month ends due to reviews; Beginning and end of financial year end.
 A degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
 Knowledge of various applicable Zimbabwe laws and regulations is required.
 At least one year attachment in accounting department
 Proficient in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and accounting systems.
 Ability to work under pressure, balancing competing demands to achieve agreed-upon.
