Chipinge Town Council

Reporting to the Accountant;

KEY DUTIES

  • Identifying long outstanding debtors
  • Make follow-ups on long outstanding debtors
  • Prepare debt collection documents
  • To negotiate and process summons through execution against defaulters
  • To negotiate for payment plans
  • Serving of letters of demands to defaulters
  • Make recommendations on ways to reduce debtors
  • Monitors court progress on debt collection matter
  • Submission of reports to the Accountant on a monthly basis
  • To supervise subordinates of the section
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Accountant/ Treasurer

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 ‘O’ Levels including Maths and English
  • Diploma in Accounting/ Credit Management
  • 3 years’ experience preferably in local authorities
  • Age 25-40 years
  • Class 4 Driver’s licence
