Senior Travel Consultant

Our client, a leader in the Travel Industry is looking for a Senior Travel Consultant with corporate experience to join their team. The Team Leader will be expected to be commercially aware and must have the ability to independently grow their team´s sales. This position is located in Lusaka, Zambia.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinates the day-to-day activities of the team’s Travel Sales.
• Leading, coaching and mentoring of the team.
• Ensures Travel Sales targets are met and that margins are maintained.
• Responsible for Client Relationship Management and Client Retention.
• Ensures that Travel Consultants have the appropriate range of skills and where necessary, co-ordinates training within the Office.
• Ensures the maximum utilisation and efficiency of use of staff resources.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor´s Degree in Hospitality, Travel & Tourism or similar.
• 10 years of experience in a similar role.

Skills & Attributes:

• Galileo Software skills are a must.
• Experience in leisure sales and corporates is an added advantage.
• The ability to meet sales targets with some experience in Account Management.
• Excellent administrative and customer service skills.
• Must have business acumen, be very analytical and a problem solver.
