Job Description

We are seeking a Sports Administrator to manage our sports arenas and affiliated clubs, and to promote a culture of physical activity and wellness among our employees.

The Sports Administrator will manage the GreenFuel Sports Arena and Rating Investments Sports Arena on behalf of the Human Resources Department.

This role will be responsible for ensuring the development, management, and smooth running of different affiliated clubs and sports disciplines, including athletics, volleyball, darts, basketball, football, and netball.

The Sports Administrator will also be responsible for introducing new clubs and sports disciplines at GreenFuel and Rating Investments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the GreenFuel Sports Arena and Rating Investments Sports Arena, ensuring that they are well-maintained and provide a safe and enjoyable environment for employees and visitors.
  • Manage all affiliated Clubs/ Sporting disciplines.
  • Manage the booking of Sports Arenas
  • Plan and manage sporting events on a day-to-day and or on a needy basis.
  • Develop and manage different affiliated clubs and sports disciplines, ensuring that they are well-organized and meet the needs and interests of employees.
  • Introduce new clubs and sports disciplines at GreenFuel and Rating Investments, in consultation with the Human Resources Department and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of physical activity and wellness among employees, and encourage participation in sports and other physical activities.
  • Organize and manage sports events and competitions, and ensure that they are well-attended and receive positive feedback from participants and spectators.
  • Manage the budget for sports and physical activity programs, ensuring that expenditures are within budget and provide good value for money.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sports and physical activity programs, and make recommendations for improvement as necessary.
  • Maintain records and reports related to sports and physical activity programs, and ensure that they are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Liaise with external partners, such as sports organizations, sponsors, and suppliers, to ensure that the needs of the GreenFuel Sports Arena and Rating Investments Sports Arena are met.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in sports management or a related field.
  • Prior experience in administration, preferably in a sports or physical activity context.
  • Excellent time management and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Computer literacy skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and levels of authority.
  • Previous experience of working within the structures of Tertiary, Secondary, or Primary Schools Sports administration or other (essential).
