EDU Africa, a third-party education partner based on the African continent, is searching for a dedicated, personable and enthusiastic individual to join our Higher Education programming team. This role will be based in Harare, Zimbabwe.

About EDU Africa

At EDU Africa, our mission is to develop and facilitate Transformative Learning Journeys through our

Faculty-led, Virtual Exchange, Study Abroad, School, and Service Learning programs. We customize unique, short-term (2 to 3 weeks long) educational programs across Sub-Saharan Africa for participants from international academic institutions. Our goal is for all participants to experience holistic transformation during their time with us. We also hope that they will become global agents of that change.

Program Designer Mission

The core mission of the Program Designer is to curate, promote, and oversee transformative, innovative, and customised short-term educational programs for clients, both in-country and online. This entails collaborating with clients to ensure that the needs and learning outcomes of their students/participants are met.

Role outcomes

  • Curate and craft innovative curricula (program proposals) in collaboration with clients
  • Maintain and develop client relationships including lead nurturing and follow-ups
  • Build and maintain Southern and West African community partner, contributor and institutional relationships
  • Manage logistical aspects of a program (such as making bookings, overseeing travel arrangements, generating invoices, and financial reconciliations)

Technical Skills

Good working knowledge of: Google Workspace, Zoom (critical)

Ability to learn how to use the following platforms/software quickly: Insightly CRM Software, Xero Accounting Software

Qualifications & Other Requirements

  • An appropriate Honours (minimum) or Masters degree is required
  • General knowledge of at least two West African countries and contexts is an advantage
  • Exposure to international students or personal study abroad experience is an advantage
  • Previous experience in the higher education sector is an advantage
