Our client, a leading Insurance Company that tailor makes products that address the variety of risks offered by the diverse nature of their clients, is looking for a result driven Operations Manager to join their close-knit team. The successful candidate will be required to direct and control the company’s operations and give strategic guidance and direction to the board to ensure that the company achieves its vision, mission and objectives. The company has an extensive portfolio of Clients with operations across various provinces in Zimbabwe.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directs and controls the company’s operations and gives strategic guidance and direction to the board to ensure that the company achieves its mission and objectives.
- Participates in the development and implementation of the Department of Underwriting plans in line with the corporate objectives.
- Works in close coordination with the Managing Director to develop business strategy and articulate action plans to drive the force of business towards Commercial risk products.
- Provides guidelines on risk underwriting processes, political risk analysis, sector analysis, socio-economic risk assessments, financial analysis, country analysis to provide overall guidance to Underwriters in conducting a thorough due diligence of transections.
- Assists in defining guidelines for registration of applications and processing policy offers, policy issuance, endorsements and any back-office functions.
- Arrange reinsurance programme for the Corporation and undertake the necessary negotiations to ensure liability is minimized through affective reinsurance engagements.
- Provide technical guidance, support, and training to subordinates so as to improve on efficiencies.

- Vast knowledge of Underwriting.
QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Risk and Insurance (MSc /MBA Is a distinct advantage)
· ACII/ AlISA or any Equivalent professional Qualification
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance sector at a Senior Management level.
· A proven track record of successfully managing a company with a high level of business awareness and acumen
· Understanding the intricacies of financial management and overall business management
· Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Vast knowledge of Underwriting, marketing and relationship management
