Duties and Responsibilities
- Carries out various checks e.g. checking of oxygen, resuscitation tray, vaccines and restocking of vaccines.
- Takes and records patients’ medical history.
- Checks and records vital signs blood pressure, temperature, weight and blood sugar levels.
- Carries out treatment as prescribed by the doctor.
- Carries out procedures such as dressing, injections, bleeding, nebulization, intravenous infusion, glucometer checks, malaria and pregnancy tests.
- Carries out rapid HIV test and counseling of patients with chronic conditions such as hypertension and other social problems
- Records all transactions about patient management; compilation of monthly statistics; and
- Follows up on clients’ results from laboratories
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Nursing
- Registered with Nurses Council
- Public and private practice experience an added advantage
- At least 4 years’ experience as Nurse
