Job summary:
As a Procurement Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient sourcing and procurement of goods and services. You will be responsible for managing the procurement process, negotiating contracts, and working collaboratively with suppliers to optimize costs while maintaining quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s objectives and financial goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and resolving any supplier-related issues.
- Continuously evaluate and identify cost-saving opportunities within the procurement process without compromising quality or service.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring they are comprehensive, legally sound, and provide the best value for the organization.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure that procured products and services meet quality standards and specifications.
- Oversee inventory levels and work to minimize excess or obsolete stock.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Generate and analyze procurement data to track key performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership and team management experience.
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving cost savings and operational efficiency.
