Job Description

  • Reviews all district payment requests and prepares relevant accounting journals.
  • Reconciles and follows up on vendor and creditors advances timeously.
  • Deposits and withdraws cash from the banks.
  • Prepares monthly bank reconciliation for local bank accounts.
  • Conducts cash counts for petty cash.
  • Compiles all cash-forecasts from district supervisors and provides input into Cash Call request through the Accounts Payable Analyst
  • Prepares relevant reconciliation reports, district financial reports and sub-ledger reports.
  • Tracks leases for the Field Offices and ensures all leases are valid and renewed on time in consultation with the IT & Admin Officer.
  • Monitors and ensures repairs and maintenance of CARE rented properties at the district office are carried out as and when the need arises.
  • Supports implementation of the Fleet Policy at the Sub-Office
  • Prepares and controls budget for District office consumables.
  • Maintains acceptable stock levels of consumables ensuring re-order levels are upheld
  • Maintains the District Office asset register and updates it on quarterly basis.
  • Assist the country office in execution of key monthly soft close tasks.
  • Asset and Inventory Management for Office.
  • Utilities management and Property Maintenance for Office.
  • Project fuel Management at Office.
  • Prepare Admin and Fuel Monthly Report for Office.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent CIS,
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in Finance/Accounting or related field.
  • Experience in NGO finance and administration is an added advantage.
  • Problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
