ROLE

Title – Senior Carer/ Care Assistant / Health Care Worker

Hours – Full time or Flexible Working Pattern. 48 hours per week *depending on rota*, Monday to Sunday

Status -Tier2 Sponsorship available, if required – Visa sponsorship is available for suitably qualified candidates currently overseas

A competitive salary is on offer within a range of £20,480(Full time)/ Flexible shifts (£10.75-£20.30 an hour) according to skills and experience.

As a Senior Care worker /Care Assistants/ Care Worker, you will be supporting vulnerable adults in the Community with all aspects of their day to day living, including social and physical activities, personal care, mobility and meal times. This role can be very rewarding for the right candidate.

Ideally you will have worked in a care worker/assistant role, either in a hospital or care home. However, if you have similar experience and the personal qualities to work in patient care, we can provide the training you need.

Duties:

– Visiting clients and travelling between homes within local community/ business needs to provide care for clients

– Assisting with personal and domestic care for clients on a daily basis

– Making sure the client feels comfortable in their home

– Charting or taking notes for others to review

– Providing companionship and supportive listening to service user

– Observing and reporting any changes in the health or status of the service user

– Responding to emergency situations

– Prompting and administering medication

– Carrying out any domestic duties as designated in the clients support plan, such as, bed making, washing-up, dusting, hovering, laundry and general cleaning and tidying.

– Undertaking shopping errands and pension collection as specified in the clients support plan.

– Monitoring and observing client’s health, safety and welfare. Reporting, recording of any changes or matters for concern. Updating daily clients record sheets.

Requirements:

Suitable candidates will have:

– Good basic level numeracy and literacy and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

– A passion for delivering client care to the highest standards of care and support to clients.

– Must be someone who want to make a difference to other people’s lives

– You must have a can-do attitude with a caring and helpful attitude

– A good work ethic and attention to detail.

– Good understanding of the written and spoken English word

– Passionate and enthusiastic about helping people

– Available to work every other weekend or one day in the weekend

– You must have a full UK driving licence/International Driving licence (For short period)

– You will be required to take an enhanced DBS check

– Minimum work experience of 6 months (training will be provided for those without experience).

– Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care beneficial

– NVQ 2 Health and Social Care beneficial

– Training to Care Certificate standards beneficial

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Salary: £10.75-£20.30 per hour
