Main tasks
To attend operator and maintenance training and appreciate Boltec LBU safety, production, and maintenance best practices.
To appreciate the correct machine parameters and participate in daily checks.
To monitor operator practices and make recommend visa viz practices on the ground.
To do daily cycle time recordings of set-ups, hole-to-hole navigation, drilling, tramming, bolt installation, and cable bolting installation operations.
To log daily downtimes and delays in support operations.
To participate in machine breakdown RCAs and documents.
To monitor and record rock tool usage and failure modes.
To fill in the daily tracking spreadsheet the key KPIs below –
Meters drilled
Time to support a complete end,
Number of ends supported per day.
Number of bolts installed,
Number of cable bolts installed.
MTTR
Availability
Maintenance Cost
Oil Consumption
Hose consumption
Fuel Consumption
Nature and time on breakdown
Sample penetration rate
Sample time navigating from hole to hole
Education And Experience Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Mining Engineering or any other relevant Engineering qualification.
150 Underground Mining Shifts
Experience with mechanized bolters and face rigs in operation
Clear understanding of face support operations
Ability to accurately capture, collate and analyze data.
Must have done time and motion studies for production-related activities.
