Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill the above vacancy that has arisen in the Irrigation Department. The successful applicant will undergo a 2-year traineeship under the supervision of Irrigation Engineer.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Supporting the design, installation and modification of water supply, irrigation and drainage systems.
• Participating in the operation, maintenance and repair of water reticulation systems across both estates.
• Monitoring irrigation systems used for sugarcane production at Chisumbanje and Middle Sabi Estates.
• Assisting in the repair and maintenance of irrigation and drainage structures and components.
• Performing any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
• A diploma in Water Engineering/ Agriculture Engineering/ Civil and Water Engineering/ Civil Engineering.
• Aged 30 years and below.
• Good trouble shooting and problem-solving skills, with high knowledge of safe working standards and housekeeping.
• A team player.
