Role Overview

1. Contribute to the formulation, implementation and review of policies and strategies for Small and Medium Enterprises Development in line with the Ministry’s strategic plan and national development imperatives.2. Coordinate and design business skills development programs targeting women, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and cooperative members. 3. Development frameworks for the monitoring and evaluation of business skills programs under the Ministry.4. Facilitate skills training for SMEs and cooperatives on product development, quality standards, packaging, branding and market access.5. Coordinate business mentorship, coaching and incubation support for the start-ups and growth-stage businesses.6. Facilitate market linkages, exhibitions, trade fairs and e-commerce platforms for women and community enterprises.7. Facilitate the mobilization of resources for training infrastructure, tools and kits for beneficiaries.8. Manage and maintain database of trained beneficiaries at national level.9. Supervise, coach and counsel subordinates.
Requirements & Qualifications

A Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Commerce, Economics, or a related field
A Master’s Degree is an added advantage
A minimum of six (6) years experience in the Officer grade level
Proven ability to integrate digital business, e-commerce and climate-smart practices into training
Ability to plan budget, implement, monitor and report on large-scale skills programs
Extensive research and analytical skills
Presentation skills
Leadership and management skills
Strong ability to design practical, adult-learning based curricula and build capacity of trainers
Ability to use information communication technology in business skills development programmes
