Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill in the above position that has arisen in the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems
• Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Inspect alarm systems and fire protection and schedule repairs when needed
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc).
• A minimum of 5 O Level subjects
• Trade qualification(s) in facilities maintenance (plumbing) from a recognised institution. Knowledge of electrical systems is an added advantage
• At least 3 years’ experience in facilities maintenance. Corporate experience is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Problem-solving skills
• Able to work with minimum supervision
• Should be a certified maintenance handyman.
