Job Description
This role assists various teams with the administrative load of projects and is individually accountable for achieving results through own efforts.
Designs and implements code fixes to applications. Designs and develops multiple database applications to streamline and automate processed. Provides technical support to teams when required.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor the performance and functionality of various software applications.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure applications are up-to-date and operating correctly.
- Address and resolve any application-related issues or errors.
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users experiencing application-related problems.
- Guide users through troubleshooting steps and offer solutions to resolve issues.
- Maintains comprehensive documentation of application configurations, troubleshooting steps, and solutions.
- Creates user guides and manuals to assist end-users in utilizing applications effectively.
Software Installation and Configuration:
- Installs, configures, and customizes software applications to align with organizational requirements.
- Ensures proper integration of applications with existing systems and databases.
- Collaborates with ICT and business teams to provide input on application functionality, usability, and performance.
- Communicates user feedback and reported issues to development teams for resolution.
- Conducts testing of applications to identify bugs, errors, and areas for improvement.
- Works closely with quality assurance teams to ensure software meets predefined standards.
- Coordinates and implements software upgrades and enhancements to improve performance.
- Monitors and enforces security protocols to protect sensitive data and ensures compliance with industry regulations.
- Implements security patches and updates in a timely manner.
- Provides training sessions or workshops for end-users to enhance their proficiency in using applications.
- Generates reports on application performance, usage statistics, and user feedback for management review.
- Manages vendors and service level agreements.
Skills
Knowledge of operating systems, devices, applications and software.
Knowledge in Java, C++, SQL Server, Web Application and HTML.
AWS / Azure experience is an added advantage.
Ability to translate architectural requirements is an added advantage.
