National Employment Council for the Medical and Allied Industry invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following position that has arisen at our Masvingo offices.
Job Specifications
The main purpose of the job is to administer the Labour Act (Chapter 28:01) and its ancillary pieces of legislation and inspecting for compliance with the Industry’s Collective Bargaining Agreement and to record labour disputes and unfair labour practices in terms of the Act.
The specific duties and responsibilities include, inter alia:
• Sets up and maintains a proper filing system
• Conducts workplace inspections
• Carries out billing of institutions on a monthly basis
• Follows up on overdue arrears.
• Registers new NEC institutions
• Collects and receipts NEC levies.
• Collects monthly returns forms
• Receives and registers labour cases in the master register. • Submits the received cases to the Designated Agent.
• Files applications at the Labour Court.
• Compiles a draft report for the Designated Agent.
• Maintains the case hearing roll for the Designated Agent
Person Specifications
The suitable candidate should meet the following minimum qualifications, competencies and experience:
• A Labour Relations Diploma or its equivalent
• IPMZ membership is an added advantage
• At least 3 years’ experience in a labour relations environment
• Computer literacy is a must
• Knowledge of labour laws and a financial qualification are an added advantage
• Clean Class 4 Driver’s Licence is a distinct advantage
