Quality Assurance Administrator 

Bindura University of Science Education (BUSE)

The Data Quality Assurance Administrator reports to the Quality Assurance Director. The incumbent shall provide data analytics services to improve all quality matters in the academic and support sectors of the University. He/she will work closely with quality assurance auditors and officers to collect, process, and analyse quality assurance data; present findings to the University stakeholders and provide insights to management for informed decision-making as well as develop and implement data quality standards and processes and guide the development of data management policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

An ideal candidate must have:

  • At least a Master’s degree in a related field such as Educational Administration, Human Resource Management;
  • Hold a first degree in a relevant field;
  • At least three (3) years of relevant experience in higher education;
  • A PhD would be an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Quality Assurance Director in promoting quality achievement and performance improvement across academic and support sectors;
  • Manage quality assurance workflows across the in the department and across QA teams in the department;
  • Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures;
  • Act as minute secretary to Quality Assurance Committee and other committees and working groups as required Plan University Quality Assurance Committee meetings and take minutes;
  • Manage shared inboxes and take responsibility for responding to queries relating to quality assurance and standards;
  • Produce quality assurance reports;
  • Instruct staff, manage workflow and resolve complex situations and attending meetings as required;
  • Lead on specific tasks, guiding colleagues in processes and procedures relating to quality assurance and standards;
  • Manage correspondences through email, memos, letters etc;
  • Build Quality Assurance document repository;
  • Build and maintain external stakeholder lists;
  • Manage departmental resources including finance, furniture and stationery;
  • Book travel arrangements;
  • Update document tracking system;
  • Any other duties related to quality assurance business as may be assigned from time to time by the Quality Assurance Director.

Desired Skills and Attributes

The Quality Assurance Administrator should have the following skills and attributes:

  • Competence in establishing, reviewing and monitoring administrative systems in an office environment;
  • Ability to set up and maintain efficient record-keeping and managing workflow for quality-related systems and processes;
  • Ability to accurately and independently interpret and apply frameworks, policies and operating procedures;
  • Good analytical and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficiency in ICT skills for administrative work;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams;
  • Strong communication, collaboration and report writing skills;
  • Knowledge of quality assurance in University settings.
