Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess the needs of clients seeking psychosocial support, utilizing a variety of assessment methods.
• Provide individual counseling services, focusing on areas such as stress management, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
• Develop and facilitate group therapy sessions addressing common mental health concerns and fostering peer support.
• Design and deliver mental wellness workshops on various topics related to emotional health, resilience, and coping skills.
• Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs and goals.
• Provide appropriate supportive counseling, referrals, and follow-ups to ensure continuity of care and optimal outcomes.
• Ensure timely and thorough documentation of all client interactions, adhering to all ethical and legal guidelines.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals and community resources.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on the latest evidence-based practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Counseling.
• Registered with the Allied Health Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe.
• Experience providing individual and group counseling sessions is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of ethical and legal issues related to counseling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Culturally competent and committed to providing inclusive and equitable services.
• Digital literacy.
• Sound report writing skills.
