Job Title: Graduate Intern (Education and Livelihoods) x1
Location: Makoni (Primary location)
Purpose of the Position:
The Intern will support the Education and Livelihoods Development Facilitator with implementation of Livelihoods and Inclusive Education interventions for girls and boys in or out of school in accordance with World Vision standards and guidelines. The Intern will be exposed to challenging and meaningful work assignments to develop practical skills, while making a positive impact in the lives of children.
Major responsibilities:
Support in the implementation of Makoni Education/Livelihoods TP interventions
Collaborate with relevant Government ministries and Rural Development district offices and community structures in identifying activities that could improve children’s learning.
Assist Cluster DFs in overseeing schedules and milestone management.
Identify project scope, risks, constraints, dependencies, assumptions, and deadlines.
Provide periodic project status updates for the Livelihoods and Education TP to all stakeholders.
Perform basic regular project monitoring, as per developed monitoring system for project to guide activity plan development.
Maintain an accurate up-to-date field activity source of data at AP level, as per implementation monitoring data collected.
Contribute to the development of M&E systems, tools and processes at district level.
Organize and schedule Livelihoods and Education meetings as required by the AP.
Knowledge and skills required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Sciences or Development Studies.
Experience with implementing Education or Development projects will be an advantage.
Basic knowledge of numeracy and literacy issues and usage of learning assessment tools
Stakeholder and community engagement, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
A genuine desire and willingness to serve in rural communities.
Willingness to adhere to World Vision International’s Christian Statement of Faith
