Position Summary

We are now looking for an Electrical and Automation Engineer to be based in Zimbabwe Factory.
In this role you will be responsible to support on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Electricity and Automation (E&A), professional and technical in the Factory for operational activities and during participation in CAPEX projects while ensuring that people health and safety, product safety, and environment are never compromised.
A day in the life an Electrical and Automation Engineer:
- Project Management:
- Participates in Capital Investments projects in the factory ensuring that the technical solution follows corporate and market standards and is delivered with the expected quality, being on time and in budget.
- Preparation of user and technical specifications, coordinating the requirements of the main users (production, quality, etc.), the follow up of the solution development, the pre-test, implementation and training of operators and maintenance crews.
- Compliance:
- Ensure Process & Equipment safety for people, products and environment and that one exhibits an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations.
- Ensure that change management is in place to appropriately manage modifications in the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)-Electricity and Automation (E&A) solutions.
- Ensure the application of the market and local MES-E&A related legislation (i.e. electrical, calibration, etc.).
- Product and Process Mastership:
- Continuous improvement of the factory through mastering the process and product characteristics.
- Continuously strive for the improvement of quality, safety or efficiency while protecting the technological know-how and competitive advantage.
- Operational Support:
- Participate in implementation of engineering tools at site level.
- Ensure that all MES-E&A installations comply with market and corporate safety, health, environment, product safety and product quality standards.
- Ensure that the key Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)-Electricity and Automation (E&A) documentation is up to date and in place.
- Participate in the Measurement & Inspection activities in the factory.
What will make you successful?
- University degree in Automation Engineering/ Manufacturing Engineering/ Electrical Engineering.
- 3 years Automation and/or MES engineer with Electrical experience
- Experience in leading a team (of technical teams, contractors, or other 3rd parties).
- Experience in the development of engineering projects as part of a multidisciplinary team (preferably including different products and technologies in Electrical and Automation areas).
- Experience in the start-up of technical equipment(s) and/or production line(s).
- Exposure to TPM, preventive maintenance planning and/or maintenance execution will be desired.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong organization, problem solving, planning and analytical skills.
