Local Rights Programme Intern (Economic Justice)-Rusape
Duties and Responsibilities
The position shall function collaboratively as a member of the Programs team and will be required to play a significant role in providing sponsorship, programmatic and administrative support in the Local Rights Programs. The intern will assist the Economic Justice thematic lead in preparing terms of reference (TORs) for Economic Justice and LRP activities. The position holder will assist with capacity building of communities in lobby, advocacy, and budget tracking (social audit). The intern will assist in conducting research and evidence building to provide feminist alternatives to socio-economic challenges.
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements
The candidate should be studying towards a degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Gender or any other relevant discipline from a recognized institute (Letter of attachment from the university will be required)
Good written and spoken communication skills.
Good interpersonal and relationship skills.
A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
Must be highly organised and detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task under limited supervision.
Ability and preparedness to travel and work in difficult conditions and comfortable working with children
