The following vacancies have arisen within the Biomedical Research and Training Institute:
Position: Finance Attachment Student
Duration: 11 months (February to December 2024)
Location where study activities will be conducted: BRTI offices, 8 Ross Avenue, Belgravia
Position Summary
An opportunity has arisen in BRTI research study, for a Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Accounting student, who requires work experience to fulfil their academic requirements.
The finance student on attachment will work together with the finance department to record, capture and report financial matters for the projects within BRTI.
Responsibilities:
1. Petty Cash management
2. Perform monthly bank reconciliations
3. Reconciliation of ledger accounts
4. Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring that all financial information is kept in appropriate files for easy accessibility
5. Any other duties deemed necessary by the Head of Finance
Requirements:
1. Studying towards a BComm or BAcc with industrial attachment as a requirement
2. At least 3 A-Level passes
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
4. High personal motivation and self-management
5. Ability to work with limited supervision and take own initiative
