Job Summary:
We are looking for an experience Class 2 Driver (Freightliner) to join our team. The role exists to
ensure safe and efficient delivery of goods within the SADC region.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Transport various goods including finished goods, raw materials and agricultural produce over land within the SADC region.
Inspect vehicles to check tyres pressure, check that load is secured properly, and check for any visible mechanical faults
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
Refuel and maintenance of the motor vehicle.
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
Manoeuvre trucks into loading or offloading positions
Collect and verify delivery instructions
Report defects, accidents or violations
Maintain a positive attitude with customers
Person Specification:
Minimum 3 – 5 years of relevant experience as an International Driver.
Ordinary Level
Clean class 2 driver’s license
Medical Certificate
Valid Defensive license
Valid retest
