Job Purpose

The role is responsible for building collaborative relationships with key suppliers in order to develop opportunities to increase value, innovation, exploit synergies and manage risks across the relationships. The Supplier Relationship Manager is responsible for overall delivery of the supplier relationship/performance management program and sustainable procurement including conducting supplier assessments, ongoing performance and risk monitoring and management of improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Design and oversee the implementation of the strategic supplier relationship management (SRM) strategy, ensuring it meets the business and commercial needs of the organization.Proactively seek and build continuous and meaningful engagement with the business and suppliers to shape services and improve value delivered from the supply chain.Research, create and lead SRM strategy to ensure that the “customer focus” is paramount.Establish and maintain supplier performance metrics (cost, delivery, service, quality, innovation, and sustainability) together with the sourcing team.Drive supplier review meetings covering performance, service improvements, quality and processes.Enhance supplier relationships by supporting them in building and delivering continuous improvement plans and/or roadmaps.Ensure the sustainable procurement and supplier sustainability program meet relevant requirements including but not limited to the following areas: legal and regulatory, environmental, people and society, and performance standards to minimize risk and further enhance business performance.Drive the application of relevant sustainable procurement processes, policies and procedures to ensure current and future suppliers meet the required standards.Conduct assessment of supply chain against risk criteria to establish supplier risk profiles.Lead and conduct potential supplier qualification audits.Provide relevant reporting on the progress and delivery of sustainable procurement and supplier management programs.Prepare and report out on supplier improvement metrics to key stakeholders to demonstrate impact of the enhanced supplier engagement process.

Required skills
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance or related field plus
CIPS or equivalent may be an added advantage
4 to 6 years’ experience in a similar or related environment
