Zimbabwe Platinum Mines (Pvt) Limited (ZIMPLATS) is the largest platinum group metals producer in Zimbabwe. It owns and operates Ngezi Underground Mines, Ngezi Concentrator and the Selous Metallurgical Complex (SMC).

This position will be part of the dynamic team based at SMC and Ngezi, reporting to the Training Superintendent Processing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma in the relevant designated trade
A valid class four (4) driver’s license
Skilled Worker Class 1 Certificate
Training/teaching/education qualification and training experience
At least 5 years relevant working experience
Knowledge of the Business Management System (BMS)

LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES:
A self-starter with excellent interpersonal, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills Supervisory experience

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Undertaking training needs assessments, developing, reviewing training material, ensuring compliance with company policies, standards, and legal requirements
Executing Divisional/Generic/Site specific Induction, Equipment Operating Skills, Ancillary and Skills training.
Train and register apprentices for trade test
Facilitating training and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs in line with identified training needs.
Progressive reports on predetermined targets for skills development
Assisting in promoting the company’s Business Management Systems
