THE JOB

Actuarial valuations: Performing data analysis using actuarial concepts and methods to assess risks, assist in solvency assessments, and development of company balance sheets.
Risk Assessment: Assisting in the identification and assessment of potential risks, such as underwriting, operational and market risks.
Product Development: Assisting with the development and enhancement of Group Life and Individual Life
products by conducting research, analyzing market trends, and evaluating the financial impact of product changes.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design innovative and competitive offerings.
Pricing and Underwriting: Assisting in the pricing and underwriting processes.
Data Management: Collecting, organising, and validating data from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.

THE PERSON

A bachelor’s degree in Actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related degree.
Traceable one-year experience in an actuarial function within the Life Assurance industry.
Strong analytical skills, proficiency in mathematical modelling and data analysis.
Knowledge of programming languages such as R or Python.
Excellent organizational skills and basic knowledge of actuarial science principles.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to be a strong team player.
Excellent and demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
Highly organized and efficient worker; skilled at multi-tasking & ability to perform well with minimal supervision.
