Zimbabwe Mining Development Corporation is a major player in the Zimbabwean Mining Industry and a key contributor to the growth of the Zimbabwean economy through mining and mining development. The Corporation has the following exciting new FIXED TERM CONTRACT opportunities that have arisen in our Business Development Department.
ARTISAN FITTER – (3 Months Fixed Term Contract)
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the following;
Duties and Responsibilities
Assessing and Reporting on current mechanical installations.
Planning and Design of Mechanical Works and Installations.
Conducting Mechanical Installations at ZMDC Projects.
Repair of Mechanical equipment and installations.
Monitoring and Control of EPC Contractor Mechanical Works.
Ensuring protection of personnel and plant equipment from mechanical hazards.
Any other related duties may be assigned from time to time.
Person Specifications
National Certificate in Machine Shop Engineering
Artisan Class 1 Fitter and Turner
Apprenticeship Trained
5 years post-Apprenticeship experience
Mining Industry experience is an added advantage.
