conflict, clearing landmines and the explosive remnants of war that threaten lives and livelihoods long after fighting has finished.

Role Summary
The Security Guard is responsible for physical security at HALO Harare HQ, patrolling and security checks on all human traffic in and out of the compound.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Inspect and patrol premises regularly
• Monitor property entrance and circumference fence
• Use of panic buttons in line with procedures
• Assist people in need of security assistance
• Prevent criminal activity or security breaches from occurring within the HALO compound to protect life and property where possible,
• Report any observed activity that is in breach of HALO’s SOPs or values and standards
• Communicate to visitors with respect and a welcoming mood
• Accurately maintain security logbooks while on duty
• Familiarise with the compound and all the things that need securing
• Liaise with the security supervisor when in doubt or distress
• Maintain garden by the main gate
• Supporting with other duties commensurate with role

Qualifications, Experience and Key attributes
• Security vetted and trained
• Certificate in Security an added advantage
• Good understanding of panic button procedures
• Previous security related experience is an added advantage
• Previous training with uniformed forces is an added advantage
