Role Summary
The Environmental Officer (EO) will be based in HALO’s field sites with periodic trips to the country headquarters. The primary
role of the Environmental Officer is to monitor and evaluate the progress of HALO’s agricultural projects. This includes collecting
data, analysing results, and reporting on the project’s performance. The Environmental Officer will also work with the M&E
Department to identify any challenges or risks to the project and develop mitigation strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Collect and analyze data on the various agricultural project’s progress
• Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans
• Report on the projects performance to the Head of Donor Management and Partnerships
• Identify and mitigate risks to the project
• Support staff in the day-to-day management of the agricultural projects

Qualifications, Experience and Key attributes
• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, environmental studies, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluating agricultural projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
