The Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development in collaboration with the Public Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacancies that have arisen in the Department of the Surveyor General.

1x Journeyman Printer (E1)
STATION : Harare Office
REPORTS TO : Geospatial Officer (GIS)
DEPARTMENT : Surveyor General

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinating the printing of all maps by initiating the procurement of printing resources (assets, materials and consumables).
2. Preparing and scheduling work plans.
3. Drafting, presenting and defending printing budgets.
4. Supervising printing staff by allocating them duties and prioritising tasks.
5. Monitoring the quantity and quality of the printed maps.
6. Inducting and training printing staff.
7. Appraising the performance of printing staff.
8. Safeguarding the printing assets, materials, consumables and maps.
9. Writing and presenting weekly reports pertaining to printing to the GeospatialOfficer (GIS).
10. Performing other relevant duties as assigned by the Geospatial Officer (GIS).

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
The desired candidate should;
 Hold a Higher National Diploma in Printing plus a Tradesman Certificate in Printing.
 Be able to use GIS, Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry equipment.
 Experience in performing printing duties as a journeyman printer will be an added advantage.
 Have good oral and written communication skills.
 Be computer literate
