The Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development in collaboration with the Public Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacancies that have arisen in the Department of the Surveyor General.

1x Print Originator (D1- D5)
STATION : Harare Office
REPORTS TO : Journeyman Printer
DEPARTMENT : Surveyor General

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Producing proofs from cartographic map composites.
2. Image-setting (colour separate) maps or related data from cartography.
3. Making printing plates.
4. Scanning all maps (series and editions) and other required materials.
5. Producing map positives and negatives by darkroom process.
6. Cleaning and safekeeping reprographic equipment.
7. Maintaining records of equipment and materials used in the printing section.
8. Storing and preserving scanned documents and printed maps.
9. Performing other relevant duties as assigned by the Journeyman Printer.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
The desired candidate should;
 Possess a Diploma/Higher National Diploma in Print Origination.
 Experience in performing print origination duties will be an added advantage.
 Have good oral and written communication skills.
